Firearms Season:  Oct. 30, 2006 thru Nov. 25, 2006
Maine Resident Only Day:  Oct. 28, 2006
Youth Deer Day:  Oct. 21, 2006
Archery:  Sept. 28, 2006 thru Oct. 27, 2006
Expanded Archery (designated areas only):  Sept. 9, 2006 thru Dec. 9, 2006
Muzzleloader - Statewide (All WMDs):  Nov. 27, 2006 thru Dec. 2, 2006
Muzzleloader:
    All WMDs:   Nov. 27 - Dec. 2
   WMDs 12,13,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,29: Dec. 4 thru Dec. 9, 2005

 

Limit:  One deer per year regardless of season or method. (Exception: more than one deer per year may be taken with a bonus permit or during the expanded archery season.)  Only deer with antlers at least three inches long may be taken from Oct. 28 thru Dec. 9, except that any deer may be taken in designated wildlife management districts by hunters with any-deer permits. 

Any-deer Permit application period: mid-June to August 1 annually.  Paper applications must be postmarked by July 17 and online applications must be submitted by August 1.
